BIOGRAPHIES OF THE SPEAKERS
- Edwin COURTIAL
Edwin-Joffrey COURTIAL received the Doctorat de spécialité in Materials (2015) from the Université Claude Bernard-Lyon 1. After a two years as head of projects in technical textiles and soft materials, he integrated the Institut de Chimie et Biochimie Moléculaires et Supramoléculaires (ICBMS, UMR5246, CNRS-Université Lyon1) and his 3d.FAB platform, specialised in additive manufacturing technologies for Life Science (http://fabric-advanced-biology... main activities are focus on the correlation beetween (bio)materials formulations and rheological behaviours to define 3D (bio)printable conditions. Since 2013, he is author or co-author of more than 15 articles, 1 book chapter, 5 patents and more than 20 communications. - Laurent DEWASME
Laurent DEWASME, M.Sc.Eng. and Ph.D., is currently Senior Researcher and Part-Time Lecturer in the Automatic Control Department of the University of Mons (UMONS), Deputy Coordinator of the of BioSyS Research Center and Secretary of the Institute for Biosciences of UMONS. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of Mons (FPMs) in Electrical Engineering in 2005 and in Control Engineering in 2006, and obtained a PhD in Applied Sciences from UMONS in 2010. His research interests include modelling, parameter and state estimation, and optimizing control of (bio)processes.

R&D project manager-Industrial research and Innovation at Proplast _Italy
She obtained her degree in Chemistry in 1996 at the University of Genova. She has been working in polymer companies (Basell Polyolefines, M&G polymers), as project manager in R&D area on different topics: polymer synthesis (PET, polyamide polyolefines) in lab scale and pilot plant; optimization of formulations vs. the final application and transformation technology (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding) using compounding techniques and reactive extrusion. At present, she is project manager of applied research projects on thermoplastic polymers focusing in compounding polymer formulation, plastic recycling, polymer synthesis, analytical methods development. She is co-author of 5 scientific papers and a patent.
